I have been testing another way for parishioners to contact the parish and it is using a Google phone number: 1 (401) 834-1099. (The caller ID will show a phone number from Pawtucket.) This will also be the number that we recommend people use for Saint Vincent de Paul Society inquiries.
The number for Holy Ghost Church, 1 (401) 421-3551, is still the number and nothing is changing. The redirect that we have in effect will still be used to connect to the calling service when I am not available, that is also not changing. What may happen more frequently is that I will redirect the Holy Ghost number to the other number so that I am able to respond to more phone calls more quickly.
So do not be alarmed if you receive a phone call from 1 (401) 834-1099 because it may be us using it reach you. We may also use it when the regular phone line is in use because we do not have call waiting as part of our phone system.
