Now that we have entered Phase III of the reopening of Rhode Island the Diocese of Providence has instructed us that our capacity can be increased to 66%. As a result we are able to make more pews available.
We will still have to abide by the same restrictions regarding physical distancing and only people of the same household should sit close together. The disinfecting of the church will also take a little bit longer so we will be keeping the same adjusted Mass schedule.
The pews at Holy Ghost are not wide to begin with, so our absolute capacity will not change much but we are moving in the right direction.
I want to thank all of you who have been following the guidelines given to us from the Diocese and if we continue to do well as a Church we can limit the harmful effects of this pandemic.
